Matthew Elderton-Lewis is an award-winning composer born in Essex, whose work has been described as unapologetically cheeky and ‘a way of exploring feeling, questions, tensions and things that maybe can’t find a way to be expressed neatly in language’. TWP

His work has been performed and workshopped by Essex Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, Phacelia Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, Chroma Ensemble, Trilogy Ensemble, The Choir of Royal Holloway and Ligeti Quartet - as well as in solo collaborations with Clare O’Connell, Carla Rees and Bethan Conway. His music has been featured in concerts in New York as well as across the UK, including at Lake District Music’s Spring Series, The Presteigne Festival and PLAY! Festival along with several other showcase concerts during development schemes.

Matthew is also a conductor and is currently the Digital Marketing Officer for Three Choirs Festival, the oldest choral music festival in the world.
