I'm over the moon to announce that I am one of this year's composer for Britten Sinfonia's Opus 1 scheme. I can't wait to collaborate and write for the ensemble and take one the first steps into the professional world as a composer in a concert setting! It's shaping up to be a busy summer of dots for me!
Each year eight selected composers, who receive the opportunity to write for a group of Britten Sinfonia musicians and to take part in workshops and a recording day, receiving advice and feedback from both our musicians and the Opus 1 Programme Directors, Raymond Yiu and Cheryl Frances-Hoad. The programme is open to adults of all ages who are based in the UK and interested in composing music for our players.
