On moor and mountain (2023)

Programme Note:

On moor and mountain takes the first line of a Fukada Chiyo-ni thought-provoking haiku and creates a musical landscape of Native America. Inspired by Katherine Hoover's compositions influenced by Native American music, this piece uses no barlines to allow for the players to phase their respective parts in and out of each other to reflect the wind of such a landscape.
